Our Sustainability Commitment

Our Sustainability Commitment

As a local business in Perthshire, we are committed not only to our legal but moral obligations to the local and global environment, and we are committed to minimising the impact of our activities on the environment.
We are committed to supporting a responsible and efficient industry that balances consumer demand with the conservation of stocks for the future.

Here are just a few ways in which we are making our contribution to the environment and how we show our commitment to sustainability.

  • Ensure that all seafood sold is sourced from sustainable licensed fisheries.

  • Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

  • Minimise vehicle emissions through the selection and use of its vehicles and ensuring that all vehicle movements are necessary and are achieved in the most environmentally friendly manner. In 2022 we welcomed our first electrical car onto our fleet and look forward to introducing more in the near future.

  • Ensure that all energy usage is essential and minimised where possible by selecting well insulated chills and freezers, ensuring that only necessary lighting is used and ensuring all unnecessary power is off when the plant is not operational.

  • Further, we have changed our power supply to 100% UK Generated Renewable
Power. This positive change will mean we lower our carbon footprint and benefit
the environment, all while showing our commitment to sustainability.
